Over the years, SketchUp has continued to evolve with newer technologies. Not too long ago we introduced SketchUp Web, allowing a new group of users be able to SketchUp their ideas. With the web version we were finally able to offer a solution to Linux users as well as those with Chromebooks. With the introduction of a web version we started to have more web features and offer more sharing options. To handle all of that, we use Trimble Identity which has been used for our Warehouses and Forum for years now. As more users than ever are taking advantage of Trimble ID we want to make sure to answer questions or cover issues that might come up while using it. If you're curious about creating a Trimble ID or have other questions then you're in the right place.
Similarly, beyond sharing files on 3D Warehouse, we needed to provide a way for customers to share in collaborate files and have Trimble Connect for that functionality. At it most basic, it's a way for you to save and edit files in the cloud with SketchUp Web, but you can save files to Trimble Connect using the SketchUp Desktop plugin and share it with others on your team for collaboration. But Trimble Connect isn't just for SketchUp, there are integrations with a number of other applications as well. You can learn some here, but also visit their site to really dig in.
