• If you’re sure you purchased SketchUp, but the software is telling you that you’re on a trial or that the trial has expired, then you’ve come to the right place! The solutions below will help you quickly activate your SketchUp purchase. If you’ve already purchased, then there’s no need to buy SketchUp again! You need to verify what plan you purchased, and select the corresponding link below for the solution for that plan.

  • SketchUp has grown and with that we've added new applications, new methods for licensing and Trimble ID to help keep them all connected. If you're new to SketchUp and just want to get your software authorized and ready to use then you can sign up for one of the SketchUp Subscriptions. Please be aware, you'll need to have a Trimble ID to access all of the features or activate your license. We hope you'll take a moment to look at what our new Subscriptions have to offer and see which option works best for you.

  • A single-user license or sign-in subscription is associated with one person. That individual can install the license on up to 2 computers he or she is using, but only one computer can run SketchUp Pro at a particular time. To use your license or subscription on another computer, or transfer a classic license to a new computer, please note the following steps: If you have a classic license and you'll no longer be using it on that computer, remove your license from your current computer by following the steps in the How to Remove a License article.

  • With SketchUp Subscriptions, your authorization is tied to your Trimble ID. To authorize SketchUp you’ll install the latest version then on first run you’ll be prompted to sign in. Once you’ve signed in, SketchUp will sync with our subscription servers and activate the software.

  • To find your SketchUp Pro license serial number, please do the following based on your operating system. Windows

  • To find your SketchUp Pro license information, please do the following: Launch SketchUp Pro. Browse to the SketchUp menu at the top of your screen. Select License from the drop-down menu. You'll see the dialog box below. Record the serial number EXACTLY. You might want to copy and paste the information because typographical errors will prevent you from upgrading successfully.

  • To find your SketchUp Pro license information, please do the following: Launch SketchUp Pro. Browse to the Help menu at the top of your screen. Select License > License Info from the drop-down menu. You'll see the dialog box below. Record the User, Company, and Serial number EXACTLY as typographical errors will prevent you from upgrading successfully.
